Week 5 Thoughts

Chippewa Valley cements itself as top team in the county with a win on the road.

Romeo is silently becoming a major force in the MAC Red and MacombVarsity standings.  October 12th… Chippewa Valley goes to Romeo, huge game.

Center Line retains the Brown Jug, but the series record is 36 wins to 36 wins against Lincoln.  Center Line looks like the heavy favorite to win the Bronze at this point.

Teams 5-0 only need 1 more win to make the playoffs.

Madison gets another big victory on the road against Fitz.

Warren-Mott vs Chippewa Valley next week….hmmmmm

October 13th… Lake Shore @ WWT is looking to be the decider in the GOLD.

All 3 private schools… Parkway Christian, De La Salle, and Michigan Collegiate just keep winning.

Good Luck Mike Lee!

Due to a career change Cousino Girls Head Basketball Coach Mike Lee is stepping down.  Lee will be taking another position within the school district.  ” Instead of coaching basketball I will be coaching about life” said Mike  Lee.

Lee lead the Lady Patriots to seven district titles in nine seasons, two final fours and one state championship.

More importantly Lee talked about all the great friendships he’s made. “I have met so many wonderful people ,I had a great ride and I will miss it “said Lee.

“As hard as it is to leave the program it’s time for a new chapter in my life” added Lee.

It has been a pleasure covering Mike Lee and his teams over the last decade.

We here at Macomb Varsity congratulate Lee on an awesome career.

Good Luck Mike Lee!
