Girls Volleyball, Boys Soccer

We are in year one of this website and a small skeleton crew… so we are starting with football coverage in depth this fall.     We would like to touch on Girls Volleyball and Boys Soccer as well, but are looking for a couple MacombVarsity “Consultants” to help us out.

Big match coming up?   Want to have some input on putting together a top 5?   Just want to help us with a little head start?   We are looking for a couple people with knowledge in both sports to give us a push on our way… If interested email us at and we will get in contact with you.

Football Training Camps Clawson

The enthusiasm was sky high at Clawson football training camp. The Trojans are coming off of a 2-7  season, but you would not know it by the excitement level from the coaching staff to the players during practice.

Coach Jim Sparks said “the team does have goals set for 2018,but all they’re concerned about is week one”

“I love our team, they’re working hard and we’ve got some really good players. I think we can bounce back in a big way this season” added Sparks.

The very talented T.J.Verner can play quarterback or wide receiver.

Bryce Blaesing will get a lot of touches. He brings experience and leadership to the team.”We have a lot senior leader ship and we want to win this year” said Blaesing. “We want our fans to come out” added Blaesing.
Jacob Butler will see action at running  back and be critical to the defense at linebacker.

Turner said “this team is only thinking about week one and we hope to see our student section full every home game.

Verner agreed “if we win they will show up”

As far as size the Trojans have it with the Twin Powers Jackson (6’2 225 )and Griffin (6ft 240 )Frendo.  Both will anchor the O line and Jackson will see action on the defensive line.

“We’ve had some good practices and the work ethic is great. I really think we will seriously compete for the Bronze Division  Title and make a run at a playoff berth, but in order to do that there is still a lot of work to do” concluded Sparks.

There is no doubt that the Clawson Trojans are re-energized and prepared to  bring Clawson Trojan football back to the glory days.

Clawson opens the season at Armada.

Football Training Camps Lamphere

The Lamphere Blue /White game had the anticipation and excitement of a regular season game with the stands nearly full.

Not only is the 2018 season approaching, but the Rams are pumped up to be playing on a new turf field to go along with a brand new scoreboard.

Head Coach Jeff Glynn enters his second season at Lamphere and brings a ton of energy that has carried over to his players.

Sophomore quarterback Dylan Chargo is very talented and poised.

Senior Joe Heaslip and sophomore Billy Collins anchor the line.
